About the choice reaction time test

Choice reaction time measures how fast you can decide between multiple possible responses. An arrow appears in one of four directions — press the matching arrow key (or tap the matching on-screen button on mobile). Score is your average reaction time across 5 rounds. Errors add a penalty.

How it works

1. 1Click Start. Wait for an arrow to appear on screen.
2. 2Press the matching arrow key (↑ ↓ ← →) or tap the button.
3. 35 rounds. Wrong keys add a 500 ms penalty.
4. 4Your average time in milliseconds is the score. Lower is better.
